2014年8月5日，青海湖岸边的北海禅院举行光明希望大悲灯供法会，为云南地震受灾同胞祈福。北海禅院住持明贤法师讲到，佛教秉持的是一人一世界的世界观，没有脱离心的外境，也没有脱离外境的心。这意味着我们在价值取向上要对自己眼中的世界全权负责，对于地震灾区同胞的苦痛，对于发生在生命境界中这些无常，我们抱的不单是同情与慨叹，更重要的是感同和身受。让我们以最诚挚的发心，祈愿诸佛菩萨加披地震灾区同胞，助逝者早登极乐，祝生者坚强平安。

On August 5, 2014, the Beihai Buddhist Temple on the shore of Qinghai Lake held the Bright Hope and Great Compassion Lantern Offering Ceremony to pray for the people affected by the earthquake in Yunnan. Master Mingxian, the abbot of Beihai Temple, said that Buddhism upholds a world view of one person, one world. This means that we have to take full responsibility for the world in our own eyes. For the suffering of the people in the earthquake-stricken area, and for the impermanence that occurs in the realm of life, we not only sympathize and lament, but more importantly, empathize and experience. Let us, with the most sincere intentions, pray that all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in the earthquake-stricken area will help the deceased reach bliss early, and wish the living strong and safe.
